Gold is a special, sustainable material. It never gets lost and can be reused time and time again without losing its quality. This is why I love working with old gold; reusing it is an attractive and environmentally friendly choice. It carries memories and gets a second life in a new piece of jewellery.
When I do use new gold, I consciously choose suppliers who have signed the Responsible Gold Covenant. This ensures that the gold comes from responsible sources and is made up of at least 99% recycled gold and silver. This ensures that your jewellery is not only beautiful to wear, but also crafted with respect for people and the environment. You can find more information about this Covenant here.
